With R&D and manufacturing facilities in Europe, Asia and Americas and thanks to its ingenious logistics concept, the CEAG AG/FRIWO Group, supplier of power supplies and chargers, is capable to provide its globally operating customers with products, services and R&D know-how at each location.
In connection with the fourth "Siemens Supplier Day", the SDAX listed CEAG AG, holding of the FRIWO Group and with the brand name FRIWO, worldwide leading supplier of chargers for mobile phones, received the "Siemens Logistics Award" from Siemens corporate representatives for the first time.
In the presence of the CEAG AG's President, Mr. Rolf Endress, Mr. Man-Young Kim (Director Global Sourcing Customized Components Siemens AG), explained to the auditorium of prime Siemens suppliers the criteria which had to be met by the German enterprise in order to get the award.
In addition to requirements like just-in-time deliveries of different quantities
- under the aspect of leadtimes for necessary sea freight - and the setting-up of so-called "consignment stocks" in Europe and China, Kim especially emphasized FRIWO's ability to quickly and flexibly adapt its production capacities to the corresponding market requirements of Siemens AG.
An even more important fact is FRIWO's global position including its locations in China and Brazil, thereby enabling FRIWO to manufacture and sell its products as "local content", i.e. with all related duties and tax advantages.
Nowadays this is a very important issue to stay competitive in the strong worldwide struggle for market shares.
On the fringes of the award ceremony, Rolf Endress, President of CEAG AG, expressed his satisfaction: "This award to FRIWO represents the appreciation for the efforts and excellent performance of our international employees. We will try to act even faster, more individual and more flexible to the requirements, concerns and desires of our customers to contribute to a mutual beneficial partnership."
