Ostbevern, February 19th 2026 – FRIWO – an internationally active provider of customized and innovative power supply and charging solutions, continues to consistently expand its successful HERC platform. The existing open-frame series, comprising the HERC60 and HERC175 power classes, is now complemented by the more powerful HERC250 model. The new HERC250 is available both as an open-frame version (HERC250 OF) and as a fully enclosed caged version (HERC250 CA). With output voltage options of 12 V, 24 V, and 48 V, it covers the three key voltage levels required for modern applications.

Two designs, one quality standard

The open-frame series comprising HERC60, HERC175, and HERC250 stands out for its compact design, minimal power losses, and optimized thermal performance. It is ideally suited for applications where maximum efficiency and space savings are key requirements. The caged version HERC250 CA additionally provides enhanced touch and mechanical protection, making it ideally suited for industrial environments or systems with increased safety requirements.

Both variants feature a wide input voltage range of 90–264 VAC, minimal no-load power consumption, and compliance with key safety standards such as IEC 60601‑1, IEC 62368‑1, 2× MOPP, and Protection Class I and II. An operating temperature range from –25 °C to +70 °C and an operating altitude of up to 5,000 m ensure reliable performance even under demanding environmental conditions.
