FRIWO Develops from a Product to a System Provider

Ostbevern, December 19, 2018 – The international power supply manufacturer FRIWO AG from Ostbevern has acquired all shares in Emerge-Engineering GmbH, a developer and manufacturer of components for electric drives. A corresponding agreement with the founder and owner of the company was signed today.
Emerge-Engineering’s products are characterized above all by control software that can be individually adapted to customer requirements. With the acquisition, the FRIWO Group is taking the step from product to system supplier. Customers and partners can now be offered a unique complete package of hardware and software, i.e. digitally controllable, precisely matched power supply and drive solutions from a single source.
The product range includes all components required for a modern electric power train: Display and engine control as well as battery, charger and software.
The application possibilities of the acquired technology go far beyond the target market of e-mobility: through the use of individually configurable software, FRIWO will in future be able to equip almost all devices and systems with batteries and electric drives with new features and functions.
