General information on the effects on FRIWO
Dear customers, partners and friends of FRIWO,
The COVID-19 pandemic still has a firm grip on world affairs in 2021. The situation with regard to limited material availability (allocation), increased raw material prices and tight logistics capacities as a result of the Corona pandemic has deteriorated drastically in recent weeks. Unfortunately, not all delivery dates can therefore be met, even if they have already been confirmed and processed and planned with the greatest care. We are only able to give binding delivery dates if a corresponding, in particular also confirmed supply by our suppliers is guaranteed – in this respect our delivery dates are currently subject to self-supply.
Our efforts to procure materials early and on time in the supply chain are currently being frustrated by sudden, unforeseeable shortages or allocations and the associated postponement of confirmed orders from upstream suppliers, without us being able to exert any positive influence. Currently we are largely powerless in the face of developments on the world market, although we are still doing everything in our power to confirm delivery dates and meet delivery dates that have already been confirmed.
We will continue to do our utmost to supply you with the requested products on time and hope for your understanding and support regarding necessary special measures and possible additional costs. Furthermore, we refer to our current terms and conditions and their validity.
Should you require a different shipping method than agreed upon, we will be happy to submit an offer for this.

Entering the factory premises
Our factory premises are currently subject to strict access regulations and increased hygiene measures. The use of the premises is reduced to a necessary minimum.
If it is absolutely necessary to enter the premises for activities, our staff keeps a record of their contacts with each other.
Production
Our production continues at all locations under consistent protective measures for the employees.
These include, for example, increased distance between employees, a time delay at the beginning and end of shift work and the regular disinfection of work surfaces and contact points.
Materials management
In order to ensure smooth material availability, we are in closer coordination with our suppliers than ever before in the current crisis situation.
In addition, there is increased mutual support between our plants in Germany and Vietnam.
Access regulations
Only our own employees have access to the premises, who
- have not stayed in a designated risk area
- do not show flu-like symptoms
- have had no contact with confirmed or suspected cases of coronavirus infection
Homeoffice
In order to prevent further spread of the virus, our team members are mostly in their home offices. Here they can still be reached under the known telephone numbers, by e-mail or via video conference.
Of course, they are still highly motivated to take care of your concerns and projects!
Despite all security and precautionary measures, we must point out that the far-reaching effects of the pandemic may lead to material bottlenecks and associated delays in delivery in the future. We ask for your understanding in this regard.
It goes without saying that we will inform you as early as possible in the event of such a situation and work with you to solve any challenges that may arise.
